Frustrated with a lack of bedding options that not only offered quality but also met international fair-trade and organic standards, House of March founder, Lisa Knowler, embarked on a global search to source her own unique collection.

Made with respect for the environment and the craftspeople who create their products, House of March is New Zealand’s first Fairtrade-certified luxury bedding brand. 

“Being Fairtrade means that we not only support but we provide work opportunities for organic farmers and organic factory workers who devote their lives to crafting chemical-free cotton products.”

House of March produces Fairtrade-certified sheet sets, duvet covers, and pillowcases made from GOTS certified cotton. Their products are made with certified organic cotton for quality and comfort you can count on. 

They have full transparency in their supply chain and the companies and suppliers they work with are audited and certified by Fairtrade and carry their own certification.

In order to become Fairtrade certified producers, they need to satisfy fair and good and safe working conditions. They need to be paid a fair wage. 

Lisa and her team regularly communicate with the workers who grow and make their products to ensure they are happy and thriving in their jobs. 

Using organic certified products was a must for Lisa. She didn’t want to add to the growing environmental issues in the world. That's why House of March products are made with minimal impact to the environment and they use sustainable, plastic-free packaging.
