Our Team

Our Co-Founder Susan has 40 years experience in development practice, academia and not-for-profit governance.

In reflecting on her experience, she concluded that development faces a glass ceiling caused by unresolved income inequality. The key to breaking through that ceiling lies in the purchasing power of Western consumers.

Sarah's travels to South Asia and the Pacific introduced her to the lives of workers in the developing world. Sarah struggled as a consumer to easily find brands which matched her values, motivating her to Co-found fair&good with Susan.

Ayla is our delightful Brand Relations and Communications Manager. She became passionate about ethics and development while studying at business school, where she majored in Sustainable Enterprise.
Ayla loves to work with businesses focused on ethical development and support them in their journeys.

fair&good was born out of a conviction
that spending our money ethically
is one of the most powerful tools
we all have to bring about change.

Our Purpose is to mainstream ethical consumption by harnessing the purchasing power of conscious consumers to change demand and demand change.

Why? To transform the lives of the workers, makers and creators of the products we buy, right along the supply chain, reducing poverty, vulnerability and exploitation, and creating freedom and choice, so everyone is able to thrive, flourish and prosper.

Ethical trade is not just about fair wages and better work conditions – it’s about transforming lives and communities that need it most.

Join the movement to make ethical consumption mainstream now.

We want to connect you with the people who make your products, and tell their story. Every dollar we spend is a vote for the kind of world we want to see.

Together, let’s create a world where the products we use are made by empowered hands –  people who are fairly rewarded for their work, treated with respect and have the opportunity to improve their lives.
